Keeping Our Kids Safe ConferenceThe Safe Communities Task Force is committed to raising awareness about youth violence and its related issues while also providing useful information about resources in our community and educating our community about ways we can all create a safer environment for all our kids.

Adopt a BlogThe SCTF is seeking young adults interested in partnering with gang-affected youth (ages 13-24) to create meaningful, story-oriented blog posts focusing on the theme of ‘building community’ for the program website. Ideal volunteers are patient, open-minded and experienced in working with youth from all walks of life. The SCTF is not seeking writing critics; instead this opportunity involves guidance and facilitation of idea development.

Integenerational Interviews
The SCTF is currently pairing young adults and SCTF youth with the task of interviewing and engaging senior citizens of the community around the topic of ‘building safe communities.’ Volunteers will be responsible for prepping youth for the informal interview, offering guidance through question writing and development, and finally debriefing the experience in the form of a blog post
