Clark County Resource Guides: Although created by the Council for the Homeless, these resource guides contain information about many services beyond the issue of homelessness. In addition to housing resources, you will find resources related to alcohol & drugs, childcare and parenting, clothing and food, counseling, employment assistance, legal assistance, utilities assistance, health care and more.
Health Resources: Provides information on free and low cost health care resources in Clark County. In English, Spanish and Russian. A Substance Abuse Guide for Parents: DrugRehab.com, an organization that provides information and answers for people fighting addiction. They provide factual information that get through to young people, causing them to actually change their mindset about using drugs. The Parent's Guide To Youth Gangs in Clark County desbribes the signs of gang involvement and gives tips on how to address problems, including contact info for local resources (English/Spanish/Russian).
The Talk With Your Kids booklet provides tips for talking with kids about tough issues including sex, drugs and alcohol, and violence (English/Spanish). The 40 Assets is a list of building blocks for raising healthy youth (English/Spanish/Russian/Vietnamese). A Parent's Guide to Facebook is designed to help parents understand what Facebook is and how to use it safely (English only). A Parent's Guide to Cyber-bullying is designed to help parents and families understand the landscape of cyber-bullying, how to prevent it and how to get help. |
