Manifesto of the Safe Community

2/27/2018

Hi there,

Welcome back to the SCTF blog! This week I wanted to share with you a manifesto I created in the spirit of the Safe Community we are hoping to foster in Clark County.
Inspired by the "Manifesto of the Brave and Broken Hearted," by Brene Brown this manifesto serves as a reminder of our purpose and a guiding light for our work in the community.

This is not an official SCTF document but a creative blog post I made for us all. Feel free to share as you desire.

Sending my best,
Christopher Belisle at SCTF

I’m so glad you’ve landed on our website so I can tell you all about our new Community Boxing Program. Thanks for being here!

We’ve talked before about how the SCTF offers a variety of pro-social activities to youth. Pro-social activities are positive pastimes keeping youth busy while also helping them grow/thrive.

Our Coordinator has been working diligently developing our newest pro-social offering: a community boxing program.

No December Community Meeting

11/21/2017

Hello there,

Welcome back to the blog, long time no see!

As a reminder I wanted to take a brief moment and let you know there will be no Community Meeting in December. The SCTF always replaces the Community Meeting with our Annual Holiday Celebration.

The Holiday Celebration (2016 event featured below) is when all the youth and families we serve gather together, share a meal, reflect on the progress we've made and most importantly honor the youth and their individual/collective achievements. Youth and families are given gifts and recognition for their participation in our programming. It is a very merry evening!

Stay tuned for more information regarding this year's event. As SCTF staff and I plan next year's Community Meetings, we will post the dates and times on our
Facebook page, Twitter page and in a collective table on the website home page. Visit any of these locations for updates.

Sending my best,

Christopher Belisle at SCTF
