The Safe Communities Task Force exists to positively affect the youth and their families who have been impacted by violence in order to create a safe and healthy community.
We do this by promoting opportunities for youth and families to experience being an integral and essential part of the community.

Over 100 individuals and organizations support the work of the Safe Communities Task Force, including Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington, Clark County Department of Community Services, Clark County Juvenile Court, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Clark County Public Health, Evergreen Public Schools, Lord's Gym, MFA Boxing, Partners in Careers (PIC), Police Activities League (PAL), The City of Vancouver, Vancouver Police Department, Vancouver Public Schools, and YWCA Clark County.
Our Community Meetings are held on the second Friday of each month (with the exception of Holidays) from 10 am to noon at the YWCA Community Room in Vancouver, located at 3609 Main Street Vancouver, WA 98663. The purpose of these meetings is to offer free workshops to increase the knowledge and skills of participants, share information about upcoming programs and events, update on the latest trends in local youth gangs, and foster connections among participants. Everyone is welcome at these meetings! Visit our home page for an updated meeting schedule.
